Longo Longo stands for a steaming night of dancing fuelled by a lyrical giant band with the sole aim of taking the party from the stage to the audience.
This infectious blast is made up of a close-knit group of fun-loving musicians, all dedicated to shaking your bottom.
A battery of drummers to put you in a trance, a row of ripping saxophones to send you flying and a deep moist bass to melt into. Spanish-language vocals inspired by Cuban folk melodies. Spun-out and intense improvisations interspersed with psychedelic licks, funky riffs and dope beats.
Inspired by 'The Afrika Shrine', the nightclub opened in the 1970s by our hero Fela Kuti -founder of Afrobeat-, but also heavily influenced by legends such as George Clinton and Sun-ra, we bring an orgasmic experience under a beat that never stops.
